Little farmer

Amrani's first modest idea of buying two chickens inspired me so much that we decided to develop it a little further. Over the past year, thanks to all of you, the family has received a lot of help. First and foremost, they have acquired new, decent accommodation. They have a home. And that is the absolute foundation. They have bounced back from the bottom and, thanks to regular material and food aid, the children are doing a little better. In the long term, however, it is important that they are able to take care of themselves and not depend on outside help. Most working women in rural areas cultivate their small fields or do other manual work. However, due to her disability, Mariamu would not be able to do the hard daily work. Even walking is very difficult for her. And Amrani has to go to school. Chicken farm in their backyard seemed like the perfect idea to all of us. A builder constructed a wonderful chicken coop. This is very important! We bought more chickens and two roosters. We bought a starter supply of feed, food and water bowls, and parasite medication. Our little farmer now has over twenty chickens, and if they are well cared for and God gives, they will soon start laying eggs, and the family will be able to supply them to local shops. Like any business, a farm needs some time to get started and some support (in the form of feed, for example), and cooperation will be necessary at the beginning. But we firmly believe that over time, everything will get going and the family will be able to provide for their most basic needs thanks to the profits from sales. Amrani was very happy with the chicken coop and the chickens. Let's keep our fingers crossed that his farm will grow and the chickens will thrive :).
