The path to self-sufficiency
We understand very well that providing basic material and food aid is not entirely enough. It is undoubtedly very important, but in the long term it does not solve the situation for families or children. The best kind of help is always helping people become self-sufficient. Support that helps children and families improve their living conditions and stand on their own feet. That would be the ideal. We keep this in mind. And we try to find long-term, sustainable solutions for the most vulnerable families we encounter along the way—solutions that will help them live at least a little better and not be dependent that much on outside aid.
